9 Month Check Up

Molly Statistics:

Length:  28.75 inches (76th percentile)
Weight: 18lbs 6ozs
Head:  missed the actual number but in the 74th percentile.  (What the what?!?)

No shots today!!

Her last few visits, she has been more interested in what was going on than anything else.  The only parts she didn't really enjoy were looking in the ears and the shots (obviously).  Today, she didn't want the nurse or the doc to touch her.  She wanted me to sit up on the table with her and would hide her face whenever Dr. Mills came close.  Stranger.  Danger.

All milestones are right on target.  She can eat everything except honey, peanut butter, and eggs.

We talked about her gunky eyes and the doc said that this is about the time that should be working itself out so I'm supposed to do duct massages 4 times a day and if she is still having trouble, we've got to go see a pediatric ophthalmologist to potentially get her ducts scoped. That sounds terrible and very much like something I'd like to avoid so we're massaging like nobody's business and keeping our fingers crossed.

They also want her to see a dentist around 1 year old.  I predict she will bite him.

  1. She is getting to be such a big girl! And quite particular about who she likes. Way to go MOL!

  2. Forget the gunky eye doctor, I have had the same issue since January 7th. The real concern is why her head is plugged into the wall socket?
