Taj Mahal

Molly made this building out of legos and told me she was "trying to make a building like Jasmine's castle"

I was impressed.

Random Crazy Kid

The seemingly random hair pictures are Molly making me take a picture of the back of her hair so she can make sure I "did it right".

The Surgery

Now that it is all over we can talk about Molly's tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.

First here is a shot of her throat before.  She is terrible at letting us see her throat but you can see on the left side (when looking at the picture) she had a weird growth on it.

That coupled with her loud breathing and tremendous snoring (and irregular breathing) brought us to the point of removal.

She was not allowed to eat anything after 5:00am and we had multiple delays.  She ended up going back around 3:30pm.

She did great going under...

but the wake up was rough.  She was very flail-y and scream-y coming out of anesthesia which was not very fun.  And that's not mentioning the pain.  It was a very rough 10 days and she wasn't fully back to normal for 2 weeks.

The picture below is a shot of her after she woke up from a nap a couple hours after getting home from the hospital.

She ate a record breaking number of popsicles the 4 days post-op.

What I'm not including here is the picture she had me take of her throat a couple days later.  She wanted to see what it looked like.  I will just tell you - it was covered in white scabs and was gross.

So a little over a month later, she is now a totally quiet nose-breathing sleeper and it's delightful!  And pathology came back on her tonsil and the growth was nothing nefarious.
