She Earned Her Dress

So Mol found this dress at the store that she REALLY REALLY wanted.  So we got it and told her she had to earn it.  She had two ways to do so:  (1) clean and day at night days or (2) read the "word of the day" for 10 days in a row.

Needless to say, she did the reading challenge and earned the dress 10 days later.  The words she read:

Bed

Hat

Map

Dog

Home

The

Jar

Sit

Wet

Nap

The game goes - I put the word of the day up on the dishwasher.  She has all day to try and read it.  Whenever she thinks she's figured it out she comes and tells me and I tell her if she's right or if she needs to try again.

By day 8 when she was pretty much getting it first thing in the morning on her first try I said, "Mol, I've got to start doing some harder words!"

Her response:

"No, don't do that.  I want to earn that dress!"

She's starting her next 10 now to earn a new big girl book.
