Little Girl, Big Words

Molly is hilarious.

She uses phrases like:
"That's so embarrassing!"
"I was terrified!"
"I was shocked!"
"My balloon did something horrible to me!"
"Are you being sartastic?" (she says sartastic...she means sarcastic)
"That's not appropriate."
"I freaked out a little."

These big words tumble out of her face with increasing frequency and it's cute but she's also getting so big.  Just this week we have had multiple conversations about things like synthetic materials and evolution.

And then she'll turn around and tell me during our dance party to "do more clickeroos".
(Oh my gosh, they're snaps but clickeroos is the cutest thing I've ever heard.  The term "snap" is dead to me now.  AND IF ANYONE TELLS HER THE CORRECT TERM YOU TOO WILL PERISH.  Let us not focus on the fact that I've performed enough clickeroos at our dance parties that she requests them.)

One minute I'm explaining the Big Bang and the next I'm breaking the news to her that mermaids are not real.  We're discussing what makes bad guys bad and then we're "swimming" in the "waterfall" on our living room floor.  I'm explaining that dinosaurs were real and are extinct while we pack her little people into her "adventure bag".  We sit down to read books about Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, Abe Lincoln, and Einstein....then I try to convince her NOT to sleep with three toy food pretzels.

A little girl.  And some big words.

Three has been really fun.
