Once again I'm playing catch up. But there is actually quite a bit of info from this well child check up.
The good news was that we thought she was going to need a bunch of kindergarten shots and as it turns out, in Toledo they gave her all of those at her 4 year appointment. So no shots! And she found out she won't need anything but the flu shot until she's 11.
The bad news is she has fallen off her growth curve again - for the third year running. I'm not too concerned because she always makes up the difference over the months following her check ups. She apparently refuses to grow in the winter and then does the entire years worth of growing over the summer. That said, the pediatricians are not comfortable with that and want her see her back in 6 months to make sure she has decided to catch up.
The pediatrician also referred us to an ENT after a strange lump on her tonsil didn't go away after a few months of watching it. And - lucky you - I'm so late in posting this that we actually had the ENT appointment a couple days ago and they've recommended we remove her tonsils. The tonsils are large, different from each other, lumpy, she snores, and she breathes like Darth Vader. We were not surprised with the recommendation.
The surgery is scheduled for August 3rd.
