Harry Potter

Well we finished the first Harry Potter and I did this interview with her to see what she thought.

At the time I'm writing this we're nearing the end of the second book.  She's gotten very into them and has had some great comments and questions.

"But WHY does Snape hate Harry so much?"
"Is Snape good or bad?"
"I think maybe Dumbledore gave Harry the invisibility cloak."
"Hermione is petrified?  So Harry and Ron have to figure this out?  But how can they do that?  Hermione knows everything!"
"I think Voldemort is going to keep trying to get Harry in every book."
"I don't think Hagrid opened the Chamber of Secrets, I think it was Voldemort!"
"So wait, if Moaning Myrtle died last time then how come everyone is petrified this time?"
"Can we please read more?  Just a little bit.  I HAVE to know what happens!"
"Maybe we should read this part tomorrow during the day because I'm starting to feel a little scared."

I had originally thought that maybe books one through 4 she could handle (as far as not being too scary for her) and that by the time we finished those she'd be a couple years older and she would have matured enough to read the last three.  But we've read one and two in the last 10 weeks so I may have work harder to convince her to read other things in between to slow her down.
