Well, the answer is Trick.
See you expected me to post some more cute pictures of Molly as The First Female President of the United States of America but...at noon today, the lovely city of Toledo rescheduled Halloween for Sunday.
We did get to do some trick or treating at the mall. Generally, the reaction to her costume is great! Then there were these people:
- The 10% of people that "didn't get it"
- The 3 people that said, "O! A little Hillary!" (My response was "She's a little young to be Hillary.")
- The woman who said "A girl dressed as da president! Ain't never seen that befo!"
You stay classy Toledo.
So...in leu of regular Halloween activities, we went to see Dada play volleyball.
Um, she loved it.

Um, she loved it.
When he first went out to warm up, she had me take her coat off and then promptly tucked George under her arm and raced onto the court chanting "Dada help! Dada help!" (Translation: "Father, I can help you! Father, I can help you!")
After I caught her and he finished warming up, they got in a couple quick Daddy Daughter tosses before the game started.
She did have a little trouble throughout the game. She didn't seem to understand that he wasn't able to respond to her while he was playing. She was like a broken record. "dada dada dada dada" Occasionally she'd throw in a "Dada help!" Or "Dada ball!" When I told her that he couldn't really hear her while he was playing she just turned up the volume, "DADA DADA DADA DADA" "DADA HELP!" "DADA BALL!"
Then about half way through she really caught on and started to react appropriately, and by appropriately I mean she started mimicking all of the sounds coming off the court. She clapped when anyone clapped. She cheered when anyone cheered. She yelled when anyone yelled. When Dada would dive for a ball, she would say "Oh oh oh" and dust off her knees and/or her hands.
We didn't have to pay the fee to get in. No one kicked us out for being crazy spectators. And she didn't get hit with a ball. All in all pretty successful I'd say.
