Daddy's Nightmare

Molly asked me "Mama, what was your favorite movie when you were my age?"

When I told her I didn't know and that I didn't think I really watched many movies when I was her age she just started listing off movies..."what about Mulan?" "what about Little Mermaid" "what about...what about....what about."

This was her face as I told her that none of those movies was around when I as her age and when I further explained that I didn't think we had a movie player (because explaining a VCR seemed like an exercise in futility) until I was bigger.  She made me confirm with Nana.

Once the facts were confirmed, she said, "That's CRAZY."

So today I'm old.

And now, your main event.  Daddy's Nightmare.

Molly came running up to me after school this week with this note.  She says, "Mommy! Mommy! Canyon wrote me a note!"

Not just a major geographical structure - Canyon is also a boy in her class.

After some casual questioning later in the day,  I was able to ascertain that Canyon did not write everyone a note.  Just Molly and her BFF Clare.  Also, she thought the note was "cool" and did not know what he wrote it said. (Because it says nothing....just scribbles.)
